New obverse and reverse hubs were introduced with very slight modifications. The middle hair bun has just five strands instead of six, found on earlier years. The eagle’s claws are thinner and open and details of the branch are slightly more delicate. These differences are subtle and often ignored by all but the most advanced specialists. Just eight to ten proof examples survive from a reported mintage of 80 such coins. This example is from the Eliasberg Collection.
